Favorite video games:
I’m glad you asked in a plural form because it’s impossible to have just one favorite game. I play and love all types of games such as Gears of War1&2, Counter-Strikeizzles, TF2, Left 4 Deads, Bioshocks, Mass Effects (Shepard is a GIRL btw, don’t fight it), Fable 2, Super Mario Galaxys, Heavy Rain, Borderlands, Tetris DS, DoTa, Guitar Heroes, Brutal Legend, Darksiders, CoD:MW2, WoW … … You name it, I’ve (most likely) played it!

Why you are such an awesome gamer:
I have a twin brother and we have been gaming since we were 5. I own every console from the NES to the slim 360 (that includes a Virtual Boy), and built my own uber PC. I’m a legit geek who knows her games, technology, and superheroes.

And Now For Something Completely Different.

Well, I’m sure most of you have noticed that I have been gone for awhile now. If not, oh well. I finally had some time to write something and it turned out to be a review of an arcade game that is far from new, but not owned by everyone. So, please forgive me if you have already bought, played, and beaten the game to within an inch of its life. The game that is up for review today as my first arcade review is Twisted Pixels hit, Splosion man. Read more…

Today’s Benjiflash was actually specifically requested by several (2) of my readers. It’s been reviewed by bloggers and gaming periodicals, and they have, for the most part, reached a unanimous conclusion:

We love Robot Unicorn Attack.

Behold the new face of Flash

So, this week, the first bit of news is my total hijacking, if this will be permanent or not will most likely be a weekly basis. With all hope I will be able to keep it up to what darthjacen started. I do not think the financial will be continuing, unless there is an outcry for it. With that out of the way, onward! Read more…

The NoobTube: Quad Damage Edition!!!

August 27th, 2010 KryptonSean No comments

Hello again my little violence starved kiddies.  I have been away for a while and I know you have been hankering to scratch that n00btube itch.  That is why I am bringing you a very special 4 video edition to make up for my absence.  This special quad damage edition comes from brilliant internet filmmaker Freddie Wong, who has been making some of the most impressive online videos I have seen in a while.  In edition to being a great filmmaker he is also a gaming fan, and that is the theme of many of his videos.  These short online videos should serve as a template to replace the crap we have been fed from the usual game-to-movie conversions.  I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.

My gaming slump

I don’t typically use my blog space to just dump personal thoughts and emotions, but this time I figured that what is going on is relevant enough to the interests of others to constitute as more than just another self-gratifying attention-whoring post. Read more…

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is the final game in the Summer of Arcade  XBLA promotion. And I gotta say, they did not save the best for last.

This is the title of the game I am talking about. This is also a representation of how exciting the game is.

New vs Known: 3rd Person Action

August 19th, 2010 VeRKK No comments

The New vs. A Known Franchise series continues with the genre that has had the biggest impact on this generation. 3rd Person action games. I took some liberties regarding different fighting\shooting mechanics in some of these games.  As always the games that I mention are the Xbox 360 and the Ps3 versions.

Online Martial Code Part 2: Desertion

August 17th, 2010 Benjeezy 10 comments

Hey hey kids. Today I’m here to berate you for another quirky thing you do online. You know what I’m talking about. It’s that fun thing where you get all pissy and ragequit out of a game, leaving your teammates to take over your burden and die. Yeah, that. I’d knock that shit off if I was you.

No prob. Chad has my back, right Cha- Chad? CHAAAAAAAAA*glack!*

Why You Should Attend a Convention Near You

August 16th, 2010 torts1217 10 comments

Force Disconnectors I am writing this a few days after the close of Supercon 2k10, a gaming convention that takes place in Denver, CO (Articles of what I found there coming soon). Now I know a few of you are probably thinking to yourself, “Supercon? Everyone knows the conventions to attend are PAX and E3, after all that’s where all the news is released, that’s where all the bigwigs go. That’s where you go if you want to play the games before everyone else does.”

And you’d be right.

But the fact of the matter is not everyone can afford to attend the mightiest of mighty gaming conventions (they also happen to be the smelliest of smellies).

A lot of people however should attend the smaller gaming conventions that take place near their home towns. These smaller conventions offer up just as much fun and drama (because every con has some drama) as the larger ones. They also offer gamers more of an intimate setting, a chance to get to know more gamers in their area, pick up some more friends and network with others. Read more…
